At Johnny Rodriguez the Salon, we pride ourselves on ensuring that our clients are able to recreate their professional salon styles at home. With this in mind, we offer classes on any hair style chosen from our blow-dry menu as well as styling and braid classes for updos and ponytails. Johnny, Kate, or one of our talented team members will teach you skills such as how to angle your blowdryer, how to work a round brush, and how to create lift and smoothness. Additionally, we offer a range of makeup classes on daytime/professional looks, evening looks, smoky eyes and more. Bring in your own tools and products to learn how to use them effectively to create a salon look at home.

Our Hair Styling Workshops

Blow-dry class with Johnny Rodriguez (strongly recommended)

Learn from the best. A session with Johnny will teach skills such as how to angle your blowdryer, how to work a round brush, and how to create lift and smoothness. The client should bring in her own tools and a list of the products she is currently using.

Blow-dry class with a JRSalon team member

Schedule a session with your favorite JRSalon team member and learn how to create your style at home. The client should bring in her own tools and a list of the products she is currently using.

Hairstyling & Braid Class

This one-hour class is all about technique. Learn to style your new ‘do like a pro: teasing, volume and “bumps,” ponytails, and more. Learn quick and easy styles for travel, and how to style and manage new extensions. The client should bring in her own tools and a list of the products she is currently using.

In-home makeup lesson

$250 & up

One of our talented makeup artists will visit you in-home for a makeup application and lesson. The purpose of the in-home aspect is to ensure that the client is comfortable executing her new look in the location where she will do her makeup, with the tools and lighting that she will have access to on a daily basis. The makeup artist will also assess the products the client is currently using and decide what new products are needed to sustain the new look. Includes a bruise coverage lesson.

Makeup party

price determined by time & headcount requirement

Group makeup lessons are available and can be customized for any group, from teens learning the “do’s and don’ts” of makeup to bachelorette parties who want to learn how to create the perfect smoky eye.

Post-surgical bruise coverage makeup class
